Parents - Please know that the Computers for Education information sent home today was not via PTA . We hope you will continue to support our Raffle, as it is a fundraiser to acheive the same goal and more for WVES. Many thanks!
So who is behind this fundraiser? My kids said they were shown a video promoting it. Obviously someone in the school is supporting it.
Okay, this just doesn't make sense to me. Kids were encouraged to do this & then we get a letter from the school saying PTA doesn't support it. Why wasn't it all cleared up beforehand? Very confused. Is the PTA the only ones who can determine fundraising efforts?? Stephanie-mom to 7
As a past PTA President for the old Cleveland School, I will add that when a PTA goes to the trouble of organizing their own fundraiser such as a raffle with prizes from local area businesses...everyone wins in the community. Fundraisers from professional organizations tend to give less of a percentage to the schools and the organization tends to be the benefactor more than the school or the community. I am not speaking out against Computers in Education, if you enjoy reading magazines, they offer good discounts from retail prices. It is up to the parent/consumer.
