Good for you GCAA for being open... there are several people in the Cleveland community that have bulldozed as parents to advance their kids agenda with soccer. Now that soccer is more popular and families are seeing what options are out there, good that GCAA continues to be a leader and share this type of opportunity and be inclusive. Helicopter parents that reserve spots for their kid on the Cleveland MS team for girls soccer for games only but not practicing with the soccer team while practicing and playing softball at the same time is an outrage, completely unfair to other kids... is it for the kids or the over weight, non athletic parents that didn't cut it now trying to live through their kids? I can't believe the district allows that type of thing. Kudos to GCAA for doing the right things in an open format, getting the word and and trying to get people involved, not be so selfish!!!! Who are these parents and how do they get away with that? Hopefully they have nothing to do with these tryouts!
