This year's camp will be held on June 28th- July 1st. The cost is 75 dollars and all proceeds will help support the 2010-2011 wrestling season. We will have appearances by Former NCSU Head Wrestling Coach Bob Guzzo and Former Olympic team member Dr. Fred Jahad. Fliers and information can also be picked up at the school. Monday thru Thursday from 10:00-12:00 in the wrestling room. Summer practices have begun.
Very excited about this.....my son has wanted to learn wrestling, and he can't wait to sign up for camp.
i just sent an email to the coach but does anyone know off hand what age group this is for? i hope my 3rd grader can participate. DB's wife
It does start with 3rd graders according to the flyer. At the bottom though it says younger kids too. But, I spoke with Coach Prendergrast, and he said definitely the 3rd graders.
i just told me son about the camp and he said, "oh no! dont make me like the diary of a wimpy kid!" lol in that movie the main character has a hard time with wrestling during p.e. he gets his butt kicked by a girl. db's wife
ive got to get by the school to sign up! im tied up with football camp at chs right now. do any of the middle schools around here have wrestling or is it just in high school? just curious. db's wife
Johnston county does not offer middle school wrestling. West Johnston is the only wrestling camp in the county that we know of. We will have registration on Saturday from 10am to 12pm, or you can register the morning of camp. If you decide to register the morning of camp please plan on being there a few minutes early.
i assume who ever is bumping this thread is in the know. if so can u give me a rundown of what they do in camp? db's wife
Registration If you do not register this morning (SATURDAY) before noon, make sure you are at the wrestling room by 12:30 Monday. We want to be able to start at 1:00 pm.
one post says the camp is from 10a to 12 noon and another says its from 1 pm to 5 pm. which is correct? db's wife
