I've been calling their number (#459-1300)all morning but can't get anybody on the phone,I had spoken with a John ...(?) there last year, are they still in business?
If not can anyone recommend a good company to handle re-financing?
    Thanks!

I would recommend Ryan Smith at SunTrust. We close on our refi this Thurs and it was painless!

Go directly through your bank. Cut out the middle man skimming all the fees. BTW, if you bank with the credit union, that's the best place to go.

    Thanks!
It's RBC for us and when I called them about it last year they didn't seem to be all that accommodating...

I think the entire process from first phone call to closing date...a month, if that.

We talked back and forth and emailed different options, asked questions, etc. They he presented 2-3 quotes, we chose one and locked in that day. After that, he sent an email with the required documents which we scanned and emailed. Then we received an email with their docs and we printed, signed and emailed those back. After that....really just waited to hear about our closing date. It was very simple.

    Hope this helps!

If you haven't started yet you should look into Pentagon Federal Credit Union. Some of the lowest rates around. I just did a refi with them.
