Yea, that they'll go out of business within six months and the fruit stand will be up and running again.

It is such a shame that nothing lasts there! I don't understand why. Maybe this place will make it.

After checking out the menu -mostly the prices- I don't think they'll last long.

Best of luck to them, but I can't afford to eat there.

Their prices don't seem too outta line to me, and are from what I can remember about on par with some other places like Bahama Breeze, Outback, and Logan's.

exactly! people always moan and groan about wanting new restaurants, or something different, so tired of fast food, but then when something comes along fitting all of those complaints, I mean "needs" and could potentially be good, here comes the whining about prices....

I think their menu looks great, and if the food & service are good, then they have just as good a shot as any of sticking around as any IMO.

I don't think it's "whining" about prices. I think anyone that opens a restaurant has to realize the economy sucks and people cant afford to spend $60 to eat out for just any ol' night.

But it is whining about prices, you can't get a filet for the price of a McD's cheesburger, but it appears that is what everyone wants.......it just doesn't happen.

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect to get a decent meal for a decent price. I think that $18 for the mac and cheese is kinda out there. I'd still like to try it and would go for special a special occasion.

Did you miss the part about it being pan seared lobster and shrimp mixed with a creamy 5 cheese sauce along with the mac and cheese?

cost more than $18 to get that at Red Lobster

it is whining, or complaining whichever you want to call it. You can get a decent meal at a decent price at Ruby Tuesday's, the mexican place up at Walmart or the Drafthouse. Or you can get crappy food at a decent price at Applebee's. It's absolutely your choice. But if you want decent, high quality food, that's not a chain, then you have to be willing to spend a bit more.

I'd call it whining too.... can't get champagne on a beer budget.

If you want something affordable or a decent meal for a decent price, then its back to having more chain restaurants... There's already a Ruby Tuesdays and Crapplebees... then theres also the Drafthouse and the Clubhouse... So someone has the vision that there is a need for something nicer (ie: more expensive) between Benson & Raleigh, kudo's to them and I hope it works out in their favor.

Finer dining isn't for everyone, for some its a special occasion, for others it may become a weekly event. This area is becoming more attractive to people with "money" who don't want to frivolously throw it away on the higher tax rates of Raleigh & Cary and they can get more for their money out here.

We went to Applebees Saturday night before Fiddler on the Roof. Blech! We were "lucky" enough to get the new menu. Only 1 in 4 people got the new menu. I had the provolone stuffed meatballs with fettuccine. It was very bland and the tomato sauce tasted like they opened the can and dumped it on top. Heck I can do that at home.

And did you ever stop to think why there aren't any of those restaurants in Johston County? :?

Ditto Tom--when I think of nice upscale restaurants, the first thought I have IS NOT 40-42...maybe they will change that...but still.

Oh, for Pete's sake!! Move to freaking Cary if you are so worried about whether JC can justify a nicer restaurant. Good lord, the things people find to complain about. Let the dang restaurant open and give it it try before ya start bashing, might be the best thing you put in your mouth.......or it might suck, but let it open first. :?

I'm not bashing...I said I wanted to try it. BUT I don't go to nicer restaurants anywhere unless it's a special occasion. The economy sucks right now...
