To all you current or past stay at home parents (grandparents too). What are some fun activities or places to go with your child in this area or Raleigh? My child is under a year. I had thought of checking out the Little Gym in Clayton but just read that it is closing. :(

Any suggestions of places to go to get out of the house and meet other moms would be greatly appreciated!

Jumpin Jax at 4042 has an area for two and under that is neat. Usually a couple of kids and their parents playing in that area. Mine really enjoy it!

Clayton use to have an active Moms' Club with regular meetings, play dates and field trips. You might want to Google to see if it still exists. It was a great way for us to connect and have some playmates when my children were younger.

There is a mom's club in the area. But, you can go the park any day & there are always kids there playing & other moms to talk to. On Wednesdays, they have free story time at C-3 at 10am. Always kids there, not too crowded and pleasant. On Tuesdays & Thursdays there is a play time at Kids Clubhouse. Only cost $2 if you get the pass. Again, lots of kids to meet. Look around and you'll definitely start seeing things advertised more for various events. Good luck.

Does Kids Clubhouse have activities for younger toddlers? I always have a hard time finding things to do that are not just for the older kids.

*A lot of those activities are best suited for kids 2 & up... if you're just looking for something to entertain a little one under 1 year, the park is probably a pretty entertaining adventure itself.
