Does anyone know how to establish legal guardianship over an adult child? Is this something that must be handled by a lawyer or can it be done at the court house? Feel free to write me privately. I know someone on here must have done something similar. We are trying to find answers but coming up somewhat empty. Thanks in advance. Stephanie-- mom to 10
NCMOM, I was going to post that when I read the title but figured it was not really helpful. On a side not, I know it can be done sometime quickly, in the case the adult can be found a harm to themselves. I meet a women at jury duty who adopted her mother. Her mother was 70 years old and addicted to meth. Can you even imagine? Good luck
Thank you so, so much. New territory for us. Out of my element and this is just really nerve wrecking. Look forward to hearing from you. Stephanie-- mom to 10
