Hey all you talented local singers... Just a reminder that today (Saturday 3/24/12) is the last chance to audition for the upcoming "JoCo LoCo - Johnston County & Local Communities - Talent Show singing competition which will be held on 4/28/12. (Produced by aLL Set Studios and Sponsored by 4042.com, Capsized Records, Sound Influence, Stwrongtone Media, Tammy Fisher Photography & other local businesses and service providers). Today's open auditions are being held from 9am-Noon and 6pm-9pm at the Laurel-Lane Building 68 Shipwash Drive Garner, NC (near 40-42 off Old Drug Store Rd which runs between Hwys 42 & 50). Auditions are open to the public to singers of any age, who reside in one of these ten counties: Johnston, Wake, Harnett, Cumberland, Nash, Wilson, Sampson, Franklin, Duplin or Wayne. Singer must be legal U.S. citizen, reside in JoCo or listed counties, and it helps if they can carry a tune! :lol: They MUST be able to perform in the show the evening of 4/28 in order to audition. They must also fill out an entry form and sign a standard talent release form, so minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Singer will audition without background music and sing their own choice of song (any genre, less than 3 minutes with no profanity in lyrics). Originals are fine too! If you can't make the open audition, you can submit a video audition to aLLsetStudios@gmail.com but today is the deadline. Video must be 25MB or less and make sure to include your name, email, phone, age & county! The show itself will include 5 singers in each age group: Youth, Teen & Adult and will be judged by 3 outstanding individuals (all residing in NC) who will be representing each category: Addy Miller (Youth Rep): Addy is an 11 yr old actress best known for her role as the "Little Girl in Bunny Slippers" in the premiere of AMC's The Walking Dead TV series. She also played the "Young Lily - Dakota Fanning" in the Secret Life of Bees movie. Ryan Rosado (Teen Rep): Ryan graduated from West Johnston High School and UNC-Wilmington and is the owner of Capsized Records specializing in Audio Production - Recording, Mixing & Mastering. Elijah Chester (Adult Rep): Elijah is a Grammy & Dove award winning singer and actor. He debuted at The Metropolitan Opera at the age of 24 and studied at the prestigious Juilliard School in NYC for acting and voice. He will be performing during the show as well! Each of the 15 contestants will be singing to compete for cash & prizes. One winner will be selected to win in each age group and one overall winner will be presented a Grand Prize which includes a recording of a single by Capsized Records (which will be added to 4042.com radio's playlist), photo package by Tammy Fisher Photography, a special guest appearance on the musical feature film "Too Far From the Tree" which will be shooting in NC this fall, music video recording by Stwrongtone Media, a recording contract offered by Sound Influence and more. So if you can't sing, at least tell your talented friends who can, about the audition! This is a great opportunity for our locals to have fun plus get in front of other talents and folks familiar with the music business, who may make a difference in their lives or maybe just make a new friend.
