So I've been keeping a close eye on the rescue pug group for well over a year now. It seems like the pug that I think would be a perfect fit for our home gets adopted in a matter of minutes lol. So anyway, I'm having no luck. If anyone knows of someone who is looking to find a new home for their pug (I'm looking for a fawn color pug, no mix breeds), please send them my way! Must be comfortable with other dogs and cats. Oh ,and being totally spoiled! <3 I have nothing against breeders, my preference would be rescued since all of my animals are. Thanks! :allears:
We had been looking for a second dog for a while, I found her on CL over the weekend (Golden Retriever). I've seen many pugs on CL, but I'm sure some of them are scams. I did'nt want to mess with a Rescue, no offense to them at all, but I think adopting chilcren is probably easier than some rescues make it.
Good luck, and thanks for wanting to adopt! Have you been monitoring petfinder.com adoptapet.com apugrescue.com (just to name a few) KDC's right, you might want to go somewhere like craigslist .. just try to be careful of misleading ads, and backyard breeders. Will keep my eyes and ears open for ya!
Thanks you two! I have been watching the above mentioned sites. I found a really cute one, just waiting on the SO to approve, lol. I tried craigslist in the past for a friend of mine and when she arrived at the person's house, there wasn't any dogs. They were trying to get the money first, then she could "see" the dog. She left. The ad was removed and several people complained. I think the police got involved as well. Just be careful using craigslist.
Yeah, have to be really careful. There are some good ads on there, but there are an awful lot of bad ones too! Good luck getting your new baby!
The dog's previous owner and I emailed back and forth several times before we set a meeting in a public place. I've used CL for many, many things buying and selling (this dog was free) and really can't say I've had a bad experience. With that said, there are tons, tons of scammers out there to be sure.
