HMS Bounty replica sinks off NC

Hope they find the crew that's missing.

I'd love to get the latitude and longitude of where it went down to see what the depth is there. She sank 90 miles out so she's probably deeper than the 120' recreational dive limit. Seeing that 180' tri mast on the bottom would be like stepping back in time.

Actually read a report that the Captain was trying to skirt around the storm.

One question....How do you skirt around a 1000 mile wide storm?

Haven't heard that. According to the news report I heard this morning, he was moving the Bounty from her mooring in NY to somewhere further south. According to the crew, the captain was a good man and the reason he's missing is because he went down with the ship.

It left out of Conn.on thurs and was scheduled to go to St Pete fla . He left because often times they say its safer out at sea than at a pier. Their intent was to try and skirt the hurricane.
The captain ended up being tossed off..

My girlfriends daughter was a former crew member of the Bounty. She is pretty upset. She has crewed on several of the tall ships and there is kind of a bond amongst the crews.
