My father needs his aortic valve in his heart replaced. He may be a candidate for the less-invasive surgery (not open-heart). Does anyone know of a surgeon who does this procedure in the Raleigh area that you would recommend? Thanks.
Check out the Heart Center at Grand Strand Sure, it's not in Raleigh, but dad had an awesome procedure and surgeon in Myrtle Beach. Supposedly they are very highly rated for the cardiac care. In my opinion, he received better care there than he ever got in the Triangle.
Thank you. That's also good to know, but I live in this area and my dad lives alone up North. I want to be able to help him through this time as much as possible. I was hopeful he would be comfortable having it done here, so I wanted to research the possibility. Ultimately, it's his decision and I will do what I can to make him comfortable.
