River tubing

Anyone know of a good place to go river tubing no more than two hours away? Some place where the river is clean...

Try Cape Fear Adventures in Lillington (http://www.capefearadventures.com/). We did a kayak trip with them and had a great time. They do tubing, too.

 

Black River is wonderful if an occasional snake is not a problem

 

Used to go down the Neuse as a kid all the time with no problems.

me too but that was before raleigh started dumping their sewage in the neuse.

 

Dan River, just northwest of Mebane NC. The general store has tubes & transport.

 

Is that river clean (because of the coal ash...)?
