Anyone know know how long the bridge work will be on US70 over the Neuse River (between Oak St and Bear Farm Rd)? Currently, they're working on the westbound side with the left lane permanently closed. I assume they'll finish up the left side, then work on the right. And then repeat the process for the eastbound side. I can't find any information on the NC DOT website about this or how long it will take. Thanks!
Yes, I've seen that. Unfortunately, the latest update is from Feb 2015. And, there's no mention of the specific bridge work, nor the upcoming closure of Exit 333 (from Buffalo Rd to West US70). Normally, the NCDOT is pretty good about announcing things like that (for example, the interchange work on US70 at Pine Level).
The east bound bridges are not part of the current project. I am not sure if they require the same rehab as the west bound bridges. Email jpharrell@ncdot.gov if you are really curious.
