I have a computer that was bought with Windows 7 installed. Its sole purpose is to operate a reader board/road sign that requires a 32-bit system. The software for the sign can't operate with W7 so I need to downgrade to XP. My question is; can I downgrade with just XP upgrade software or do I need to purchase a full version of XP?
    Thanks in advance.

We have a similar situation with some of our analyzers but not with XP as the goal. The upgrade versions we use looks for an installed earlier version and will not install if there is no earlier version installed or if a more recent version is installed. Again, this is not XP, but I would imagine the operation should be similar. If you have a full version to install and then upgrade you should be good, but if not the full version is probably going to be necessary.

Thanks for the input, Wayne. That's the logic I was beginning to run through my head as well. Full versions were proving easier to find anyways...and at a pretty reasonable price.
