I'm assuming she's talking about the one on Brightleaf but I haven't been by there to see if it's closed or not. The one by the old K-mart has been closed for years, and the one by 70/I-95 is the Selma one that was mentioned.

Is the one by the old K-mart the same one that is by the Food Lion on 70?

I checked on Wendy's website, and it still lists the one on Brightleaf, but the phone number does not go through.

that side of town has been going to help for 25 years. Carolina Pottery started the pull (pool).

That one article is from 5 and a half years ago, the other from over a year ago

Wendy's on Bright Leaf (US 301) in Smithfield is definitely closed. Signs removed, etc.

Probably because they use horse meat.

I have to go by there every day. For a long while I thought they had completely shut down but it appears that they are just remodeling. The other day (Thursday, I think?) they painted the roof gray (an odd color for a Wendy's unless something new is moving in) but it appears that it will either come back as something else or it is simply being remodeled into a newer Wendy's. It needed a remodel, anyway.

I believe they removed the signs 1) to replace them with newer ones as part of the renovation and 2) to paint the building's roof. They did the same thing with the one on US-70 outside of the Food Lion when they remodeled.
