This is at least the 4th different date that the signs have shown in the past 2 months. I think they must need a solid week of really good weather. Not sure when that will happen.

The sign still says tomorrow as of this morning. And there's a lot of activity in the area of Ranch/Little Creek Church this week.

Not sure about the road by Sheetz though. I can't quite figure out what is holding that up.

We're getting closer to the end of the never-ending Ranch/Little Creek Church saga. (Stop me if you've heard this before)

When this project is finally done, is it going to be called Ranch Rd all the way up to US 70? Does it become Little Creek Church Rd for any stretch? Does Rose St cease to exist?

I believe it is NC36 now/future. I assume it will be Ranch Road

between this little extension of road and this Shiloh /Cornwallis roundabout both have been crazy long durations.

It always reminds me how 80 years ago in the Canadian and Alaskan harsh environment, they cleared about 1000 miles of new highway in 6 months and opened the road to military traffic. Just 6 years later it was open to civilian traffic. And 80 years ago, the heavy equipment we had was minimal and GPS didn't exist.

These days it takes 2-4 years to update a few miles of existing highway using the latest in technology.

In other parts of the world, they replace an overpass in just a couple days or a single night.
