The other one that always amazes me is that Arby's is still doing well. Don't get me wrong their food isn't bad. It's just that it is expensive for fast food, and whenever I go to one, there is maybe 1-2 people there. Especially the one in Clayton. I go there maybe once every few months at lunch time. And several times I have been the only person inside. Maybe 1-2 people in the drive thru.

With 2 new McDonalds coming, near 711 on 42 and near Publix 50/42, I was trying to remember the last new McDonalds I have seen being built. Many old ones tore down and built new, or old ones renovated, but I can't remember the last new McDonalds. Anyone?

The one at Flowers is fairly new right, 2021? The one at Battle Bridge and Rock Quary, that one is definitely like 15 years old. I remember it being built when I moved around 2008/09.

For that matter, I never understand how the Exxon at Veteran's Parkway and Cornwallis Road stays in business. I see 1-2 cars there ever, they are regularly 20-80 cents more per gallon than Sheetz across the street. Diesel was like 90 cents more a gallon yesterday. Been this way for years. I noticed the person working there regularly parks at the pumps to make it look like they have more business.
