I CAN verify the fact that she has been vetting every dog she gets. There are no dead dogs, that was a post we received a week or so ago about a lady that has cancer and her son was not feeing the dog and another rescuer was supposed to and forgot. I do not personally know Michele but I do know this was not her. I talked to her vet at length and she takes excellent of the dogs that come into her care. Her vet can verify this to anyone that wants to take the time to check it out.

I find this an outrage. When people are counting on someone to help save a life there should be no excuses as to why someone would pull a no show.

In this day and age, where cell phones are readily available, persons who are late or in distress should easily be able to contact others and advise them of their situation. These animals are hopefully on thier way to a better life and should not be exposed to disease or illness of any kind. We all know the annoyance of fleas and parasites but serious illness that results in death is an entirely another story.

I would like to see said person, dispute this matter and allow us to hear the other side. Was there confusion in the times, place or day of the meeting? Did you simply forget? Once, we could understand but having this happen multiple times is unforgivable.

When someone entrusts you with their pet - or going to be their pet - it is like a child. Helpless and lost, in need of assistance and direction..it is appauling that a person could let down an innocent in such a way.

I passed it along to the dal rescues we work with. This is extremely sad, I was under the impression this person was helping animals and just outraged with humans.

Harley, if there are trips from the shelter to NY or anywhere up north, let me know, we possibly could help get them up to MD. Call me.

Oh my goodness, I got this same email.

Speaking of which, where's the text of your message Harley? Did it get removed?

I really hope this isn't true, because it's very sad indeed.

After speaking with Ms. King several times today, I got this e-mail from Barb and another one from Katie...Why would someone send this to me?
