yep, same at Oak Island too....gazillions of folks on the beach (too many in fact), all hotels booked, 40 East heading down packed with traffic....
our beach house was a foreclosure....(and it wasn't trashed), and we got a steal of a deal on it too.
we always use the Shell Station on 42, between McDonald's and KFC/Taco Hell...last time we filled up it was $14.
