My son has been trying to earn his scout woodworking merit badge. A wonderful member Of The Triangle Woodworkers Association has been helping with this endeavor. This group is sponsoring the 2012 NC Woodworking Showcase in September. There are competitions for every skill level. I was told that in the past there weren't many folks under the age of 18 involved, but they were hoping this would change.
