210 Businesses

I think the 210 area is going to be the next hwy 42... lots of new businesses.. someone should open a great restaurant over that way, though. There are lots of places to eat, but I would like to see something like Draft House or Ruby Tuesday...even better would be a Tripps!!

 

Me too!!! I know it looks like there may not be alot of potential in the area but believe me, THERE IS. Subdivisions going up all over the place!!! A nice restaraunt would be nice and would DEFINITELY survive.

 

Let me get this straight, you folks are asking for all the problems we have at 4042?

 

naaaah....not ALL the problems......just a nice, good food, good eatin', good grub restaraunt.

 

When I win the lottery, I'm going to buy all the land around McGee's X-rds so that no other development can take place. It makes me sick to know that 40/210 will one day be like 40/42, unless I win the lottery!

 

Tell you what, if I win the lottery before you do, I'll do the same thing.

 

about six months ago they were working on a deal for Lone Star by the Food Lion. I do not know if that ever went through or not. Please do not ask for another 40/42 we have enough traffic as it is

There was also talk about Home Depot

 

Don't want another 40/42. Just want a nice restaraunt........Lone Star would be cool. Even a TGI Friday's or Applebee's or a RED LOBSTER!!!!!

A little planning this time

Well, I agree with both sides of this. i would love to see more business coming to the McGees Crossroads area, but only in a planned approach. I believe a nice restaurant would be a welcome addition to the area, but not 12 fast food restaurants and 6 gas stations, or worse! I believe that growth is inevitable, but if our leaders in Johnston County use forethought and planning, 210 will not be congested as we all experience at 42.

Red Lobster is over-rated... better to hope for a real seafood restaurant.

 

Speaking of 210/40 they really need to put another stop light there at the other end of the overpass by McDonald's. If you come from the McGee's schools and want to get on 40 to Raleigh in the morning or coming from I95 area and get off at 319, you are pretty much screwed cause ain't NOBODY gonna let anyone go...............

Well, if I had to chose between Italian rest. it would be Olive Garden....Ragazzi's is not that impressive and I do not like the Macaronni Grill....I ate at one Italian place in SC one time and it was sooooo good, like real italian food should be.....and red lobster well....if I have to get descent seafood it would be them..unless they build another Neptunes around.. I am tired of McDonalds and Wendys at 210...it gets old after a while.

 

Really. PLEASE don't encourage more chains with "authentic" food to come to the area. LOL at "Red Lobster" and "decent seafood" being used in the same sentence. :lol:
