www.aj5k.com This is a great family event this Saturday at the Archer Lodge Fire Department we have lots of games, face painting, DJ and of course lunch! The 1 mile fun run starts at 8:30am - all kids 12 and under will receive a ribbon! The cost this weekend will be $15.00 and shirts are while supplies last The 5k will start at 9am - again all kids will receive a ribbon, top 3 of each age group will receive a metal and then the top 3 overall will receive a metal! The cost this weekend will be $25.00 for non-timed and $30.00 for a chip time! Again shirts are while supplies last! All race partipants will receive a free lunch while all others will be charged $3.00 for a hotdog, chip and homemade dessert and drink! All games, bouncy houses, face painting etc..are free All money raised will go to the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center, North Carolina Fallen FireFighters Foundation and the Archer Lodge Fire Department Training Grounds! If you live in the area please note that Covered Bridge Road will be closed at 8am until 11am, this will be at the intersections of Archer Lodge Rd and Castleberry Rd. Also South Murphey Road will be closed off at the lake so that our runners will be safe! If you don't run its still a great event you can come and cheer on all those that are running/walking!
