I heard a rumor today, that there is a water park being built at 4042 AND I heard that a KFC is going in in front of the Food Lion shopping plaza up on 210! A WATER PARK?! Cool!
MP, the KFC maybe. The water park, that's just another version of the Six Flags rumor that floated for a while. Don't count on it.
Woooooooo maybe we can get the six flags or the wal-mart that was supposed to be around. If they build it I owe a lady called Missy an apology. :wink:
That's why I said it's a rumor. lol BUT the person we heard it from, has a friend that is installing the gas lines? or something like that. BUT I don't know this person from Joe Schmoe down the road, so he could have been totally bs-ing us. Let's put it this way, I am NOT getting my hopes up until I see the dang thing built. Oh heck, who am I kidding? I still probably won't get my hopes up then either cause I could care less about it! LOL KFC is not a fav place of mine to eat since there is like a months' worth of transfat in one small piece of chicken! However, now and then I'm guilty of having some. :wink:
The water park rumor is still going? I can help put an end to a six-flags park. They are having financial problems and are selling and closing parks. The park in Denver is up for sale. So if they are selling and closing parks I doubt they are planning on opening any new ones.
The closest thing we will get to a water park, is a sprinkler in the backyard. But it would be neato if we did get one!
The KFC at the Food Lion shopping center is true. Will go in at the corner as you turn in to go to Dollar General. I assume (always a bad thing to do) that it will be a KFC/Taco Bell combo.
They should build a NASCAR super speedway between I-95 and Raleigh someplace to replace what was lost at Rockingham. For all the hundreds of thousands of fans in this region, eastern NC has no representation on the NASCAR circuit.
And the way they keep building tracks all over the country, pretty soon, all of NC will probably be out on the representation. I could never figure out why they have The Nascar Awards in NY and not the heart of Nascar Country. Last time I checked, that was right here in NC.
Anyone been to the pool center at Lions Gate in Clayton? It looks pretty neat. Water slide, etc. Clayton is getting there but never a Six Flags. LOL
Grocery Stores Count on seeing a Lowe's Foods at 4042 in less than one year. The plans are in the works!
Ditto the Chic Fil A and the Race Track! I would love to have a NASCAR Sanctioned racetrack nearby!! (wait then I would be broke!)
