For those looking for great family fun welcoming both humans and canines come on out to the 7th Annual Paw Jam at Battleship Park in Wilmington from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Numerous breed specific pet rescues, canine service organizations (Carolina Canines serving the physically challenged in our communities) and the SPCA among others will be in attendance. Face painting and kiddie play areas are available to keep the little ones entertained. Educational canine/feline info, microchipping and doggie contests (agility, tricks, size etc.) as well as doggie apparel and merchandise will be available. Live bands, a beer/wine garden a food court, raffles and give-aways will be part of the fun. You can even have a caricature of your pet done (small fee). Paw Jam Yes Ken....call her.... I'm sure she would enjoy hearing from you. I'm volunteering to help with our doggie rescue group on 6/14 at the PJ. Who knows, I may cross paths with her.
