How if the Benson Parade? Wife is out Friday night and thought about taking the kids to the parade. We have been t the Clayton many of times but is the Benson one worth the drive?

Go to the Kenly Parade on this Thursday night the 4th. It's cool.

I don't know what the Clayton parade is like but the Benson parade is ok. Nothing to write home about but it nice... music, candy, Santa... just a standard Christmas parade.

I love the Benson Christmas Parade. Well, it's not SO much the parade as what happens afterwards... The parade is just your typical parade - not too big or flashy. However, afterwards, main street stays closed to traffic and many of the shops are open for business. there are people singing along the street, dance groups performing, etc. Lots of little things to check out all up and down main street... Or at least that is how it was last year.
I remember a few years ago, after the parade they had horse drawn carriage rides around town - all free. It was so neat. The kids loved it. I would recommend going... I'll see you there !
