I'm new to this group and appreciate any advice/comments anyone is willing to offer. I've been researching and doing my "homework" on where we would like to buy a home. We are getting closer to being able to put our house on the market. My husband works in Cary so I would like the easiet commute possible for him in the Johnston County area. We drove around some this weekend - passed by a house for sale in Silverstone Subdivision off of Norris Road and Horsemans Run off of Buffalo Road. Ayone know anything about these areas, the positives/negatives?

Schools are important. I'm a SAHM so we want to be conservative with our budget and looking at $160,000 or less. Any suggestions on which zip codes or areas to look in? Thanks so much for any suggestions!

wake county school move the kids around like brussel sprouts on a plate.
Move to Johnston COunty .....and at least your kids get to go to a neighborhood schools with their friends.....without 1960 's style bussing.

Just make sure you are NOT in the Wilsons Mills school district. TERRIBLE school!
Horsemans Run will be an easy commute for him. I don't work too far from the area.
Riverdell and Riverwood are awesome schools too. But the zip code there is now 27527.

27527. Our kid goes to Riverdell, then will go to Archer Lodge. We're very pleased with the area. We lives in Flowers Plantation area.
