Does anyone know if there is an organization in Johnston County that will help a low income family get an air conditioner? My daughter's friend lives with her mom and sister in a house with NO air conditioning! She also suffers from asthma. I can install it for her but, like many out there, can't foot the bill for one. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
There's a man by the name of Thomas Wayne Allen out of Raleigh that tries to help low income/disabled/elderly with finding box fans, but I don't know about the AC. You could try him and ask. 919-610-3285.

what about contacting the Habitat for Humanity store and ask them? If they don't have one, they may be able to point you to someone who can help.
