Allen Tews is being STALKED...

I don't know if anyone remembers about my stalking situation.
I was wondering if anyone knows how I can get in touch with Allan Tews.
I have googled his name and can't find him.
Does anyone know his office number?

Proposal would strengthen stalker law

RALEIGH - Clayton lawyer Allen Tew carries a concealed .38 Special handgun with him everywhere he can because his stalker is walking the streets.
Tew testified Tuesday about how being stalked has changed his life before a state House committee considering changes to state law. The proposed legislation would broaden the definition of what it means to stalk and increase the penalty to a felony for a first offense.

Rep. Laura Wiley, R-Greensboro, one of the bill's primary sponsors, said stalkers are finding new ways to harass their victims with new technology. Wiley is pushing for legislation that defines stalking more broadly than the current law, which uses a list of activities as the definition. "Hopefully, we can help some folks whose lives have been seriously disrupted," she said in an interview.

However, Rep. Mickey Michaux, a Democrat in Durham, questioned several sections of the proposed legislation, including a provision that would define stalking as using the courts to harass a victim. Michaux said the provision may be unconstitutional. On Tuesday, the committee agreed to send the legislation to a subcommittee for revisions.

Before speaking to lawmakers, Tew, the Clayton lawyer, opened his briefcase and laid on the table five red bricks. His stalker, Warner Austin, was convicted of throwing the bricks through the windows of Tew's law office, which is two doors down from the Clayton police station. Austin, 51, has twice been convicted of stalking Tew -- a misdemeanor in 2003 and a felony in 2006. Austin was sentenced to six months in prison and released in September. Tew said the stalking began after Austin was on the opposing side of a civil case that Tew handled.

"I'm not a person of squeamish nature," Tew told the lawmakers. "When somebody does this to you, it transforms your life."

Tew said he is preoccupied with his own safety and his family's safety. He said he is always aware of his surroundings and keeps the bricks displayed near his desk "as a constant reminder" to be vigilant. He has made a conscious decision that if required, he will use deadly force.

Tew suggested a few changes to the proposed legislation, including requiring convicted stalkers to register like sex offenders and report their new addresses to local law enforcement.

"At this moment, I don't know where my stalker is," Tew said. "But I know he's close by."

Lawmakers also heard from a Johnston County woman whose situation was the impetus behind the legislation. The woman, who would not giver her full name, told lawmakers that her next door neighbor has installed 15 video cameras in the trees on his property to record what happens inside her house and on her property. She said law enforcement has been unable to do anything about her neighbor because the cameras on his property. Beyond that, she said, he has had her charged with trespassing, filed complaints against her with social services and animal control and sued her for defamation.


NORTH CAROLINA'S LAW* The current law defines stalking as terrifying a person via communications, such as letter, telephone, pager, fax, answering machines, voice mail or e-mail. The bill defines stalking as a pattern of following, observing or monitoring the victim as well as committing violent or intimidating acts against the victim, regardless of the means.

* Under the current law, a first offense is a misdemeanor, punishable by no more than five months in jail. Under the bill, a first offense would be a felony and those with the worst criminal records could receive at most 25 months in prison.

* The bill defines a stalker as someone who uses the legal system to harass the victim.

* The bill would prevent an accused stalker from claiming as a defense that he or she did not know the attention was unwanted or did not intend to cause fear

Not trying to be a smartdonkey, but you've referred to him as "Allan" "Tews" in this thread and his name is Allen Tew. Might help in your search for him if you're spelling his name correctly.

Anyway, his office used to be on Lombard Street in Clayton, across from the Food Town shopping center... but I hardly ever go in that area anymore so I couldn't tell you if it is still there or not.

It is of interest that you edited all your posts last night. If you access this thread you started previously you will find that I recommended you contact Allen Tew back then. I guess you don't listen very well.

And I just zoomed through the posts really fast, didn't see where you put down Allan Tews. But if you did, thanks.
There is not always a "sneaky reason" behind everything. Try living my life for two seconds and make a joke cleopatra. Actually, try living it for almost 4 years and not being able to go out and meet people, men, go on dates etc. I may not be a brain surgeon, but I do have feelings, and when you are under all this stress, your mind sort of goes into a forgetful mode. I want to get in touch with the lawyer and see if he can give me some advice. That's why I got excited when I read it. I tried to get in touch with the woman with the cameras, but that name is not available, so I thought I could find some answers with Allan.

As indicated before it is "Allen Tew". It appears he was at the same hearing as you were. Why not talk to him there?

I never met or spoke with Allen, let alone talked with him at the meeting.
I'm actually on a "stalking" forum, and someone posted the article from the paper.
That is the whole truth. I just wanted to talk to him and see if he could help me. (maybe legally or just as a support person)
There is no stalking support groups here, so that's why I was reaching out to him, to see if maybe he knew of someone.
I did get a PM about a group in Raleigh. So I'm going to check there.

I am not trying to give her a hard time. If you are trying to find someone, it helps if you spell their name correctly. She has been told several times what the correct spelling is, and persists in spelling it wrong. If you go to www.switchboard.com and type in tews and clayton, nc, no results are returned. If you type in tew and clayton, nc, you get:

Why tell the world?

Sorry but I "don't get it". If I am being stalked and I am moving to get away from the stalker why would I shout it from the rooftop that I am movingt to Harnett County on May 5th. Granted the neighbor can follow the moving van to your new home but why post this comment on a discussion board?
My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family in your new home.

Because I'm stupid. I thought of that last night after I posted.
I was afraid to remove it, for people saying what you did.
This person is not my neighbor.
This person is someone that came into my office one day and said I had a ***nice smile***
That was four years ago, 2 restraining orders ago, a move to Johnston County, and a years of being followed, sent flowers, having tires slashed, twisted loveletters and threats.
For some reason, I hardly doubt he is on this message board. I have posted about my problem in the past with my name (again, stupid I am agreed,) but sometimes I just need to vent on message boards.
I'm going to keep my mouth shut and not post anymore.
Harnett is a big county, and not for nothing, even if I was moving to China, he would be standing outside a store watching me., or leaving flowers (if he's in a good mood, dog crap, if he's in a bad mood )
And BTW... the neighbor that was mentioned in the Allen TEW (look everyone no S) is being peeped in my opinion, not stalked. But I pray for her also, and hope that she and Tew can go to more meetings and get what they are planning on getting done.
