Friends (Town of Clayton residents) have received solicitation letters from: American Water Resources Of NC 2015 Aysley Town Blvd. Suite 202 Charlotte, NC 28273 877-532-5268 $5.49/month or $65.88/year BBB indicates A+ The fee is for insurance to cover any damage to water line from street to house. Anyone received such a letter? In my opinion this is a ripoff as I have never experienced any problems with this ty damage to water lines. I have heard of people that had damage to sewer/water lines because of tree roots but this is not a frequent problem to my knowledge. The solicitation does not include sewer lines, just warter lines from source to your home. Thanks for any input.
We got the letter, but we have a well so it went in the trash. I thought it sounded a bit sketchy anyway.
