Due to hydraulic overload from intense rainfall, the Central Johnston County wastewater transmission system experienced a sewage overflow on February 6, 2010, from a manhole at 1801 Industrial Drive in the Town of Selma. An estimated 5,000 gallons of wastewater flowed into an unnamed tributary of Buffalo Creek.

Also on February 6, the County’s wastewater transmission system experienced an overflow at the Pine Level pump station at 328 Pine Level – Micro Road in Pine Level. An estimated 13,500 gallons of wastewater flowed into Moccasin Creek. The overflow was caused by excessive storm water infiltration and inflow in the Town of Pine Level wastewater collection system.

Both spills have been reported to the North Carolina Department of Natural Resources – Division of Water Quality.

For information, call the Johnston County Department of Utilities at (919) 989-5075.

Time to drink the well water again instead of the "cleaned up" Neuse River sludge :ack:
It's not like the first time this happened and yet it happens again and again :beathorse:

It will take some money to bring the whole system up to date but no one wants to hear that s*** says DH instead they are going to drink it instead ;)
