    Andrea Dublin Is District's August Employee of the Month

    SMITHFIELD-- Andrea Dublin, Executive Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent, has been named Johnston County Schools' Employee of the Month for August.

    Dublin's nomination was endorsed by her immediate supervisor, Dr. Anthony Parker, who noted that she is "extremely competent and possesses the skills to deal with the public effectively and to address the other responsibilities that her job demands."

    In partnership with Carolina Pottery, Johnston County Schools salutes Mrs. Dublin for:
    * Demonstrating excellence on the job
    * Exhibiting a "teamwork" attitude
    * Making a significant contribution to the school, school district, employees, students and/or the community
    * Enthusiastically supporting the mission of Johnston County Schools

    In addition to her excellence in performance, Dublin displays "tremendous patience," added Dr. Parker. Her co-worker's nominations also lauded her as an excellent team player who is well-respected and who treats all people the same.

    Dublin was recognized by her colleagues during a surprise presentation. Dr. Anthony Parker, Superintendent, made the announcement and Joyce Wade, Associate Superintendent for Human Resource Services, presented her with a balloon bouquet. She also was recognized during the July Board of Education meeting. During that recognition, she received a $50 gift certificate from Carolina Pottery and an appreciation certificate from Johnston County Schools. Her photo will be displayed at Central Services.

    Johnston County Schools will recognize an employee every month. The honoree will be recognized at the monthly Board of Education meetings.
