I saw this on the news this morning. I certainly believe in angels, and I think this is wonderful!

Wonder if someone just died and the angel was waiting to guide him/her to heaven. Beautiful either way.

The story on Wral was that a girl about 15yrs old was expected to die that night. Then the staff (nurses and drs) and family saw the angel outside the girls door and within hours she made a miraculous recovery. Just awesome :)

I saw that too. My opinion (based on my faith) is that angels (those that obey God) are divine messengers and/or comforters in times of need. If a person sees an angel, its because it is of God's will.

When I was 14, I saw with my own eyes a very similar sight in a church I was visiting in Goldsboro. It arose from behind the pastor during the service with what looked liked outstretched wings and ascended to the height of the ceiling before disappearing. It was noticeably larger than the pastor. I'd say about 7-8 feet in height. I considered it a blessing to have been able to witness such a sight. For awhile I tried to reason away why I saw what I did, but I believe what I saw was an angel. Also, remember that scripture tells us that angels sometimes appear as ordinary strangers.

I always look at such a sight and see the awe in the Creator rather than the created. If you adhere to the Bible, you accept that angels share a similarity with us (likewise created and in service to God) and that we should be cautious about not idolizing or worshiping angels rather than He who created them.
