    Best BLT in the area?

And none of this 'three or four pieces of bacon' jive either. I mean a place that understands the 'B' is the first letter, therefore should be prominent. And on good toasted white bread, or sourdough.

You know, something that would make your cholesterol jump 65 points just looking at it. :)

Screw the L and T that is just rabbit food.

I've always found that making my own guaranteed the most bacon.

The Pit in Raleigh. My son loves BLTs and was in heaven with the one he got there! Lots of crispy bacon!

I'm rarely in Chapel Hill, but have been to Merritt's and love it. Didn't try the BLT but I'll remember to next time I'm in that direction.

Never been to the Pit, but it's now on the list.

    Thanks!

I don't know what's better about this pic. The perfect amount of bacon or the great beverage behind it.

There is a new second Pit location in Durham too. Great BBQ. Choice of Eastern, Western, OR Lexington style .... or you can bring your own sauce if you have a special one.

Love the fried green tomato BLT's at the Weathervane restaurant next to a Southern Season in Chapel Hill. Making BLT's at home we love the bacon from Fresh Market or Boar's Head available at Lowes, Kroger and Harris Teeter, I'm getting hungry.
