http://www.wral.com/news/news_briefs/story/1995279/ Heard this this morning before I left for work. A Wendell man died on the way home from the hospital after visiting his wife and new baby. How horrible for them. I'm praying for her and the baby.
Lots of similar accidents occuring also. There's been two serious accidents on Hwy. 42 East, a number of hit and runs in the past month or so and accidents involving more tractor-trailers than usual. The new dad being killed is certainly the most tragic that I've heard of as of late. I did read sometime back about a larger family losing their dad in a traffic accident and the mother was expecting in 2-3 weeks. Certainly a family tragedy for them, as well.
I was just thinking the same thing...........either fell asleep, a deer or something along those lines. According to the article, he was conscious when EMS got there. It's just awful.
