My wife and I have a new shutzu puppy and wanted to get some recommendations for a good groomer. We don't want to go to Banfield. Thanks in advance.

I had k-9 clips do my shih-tzu. She was great. Located on Hwy 210 and has mobile grooming. did a great job and was reasonable. Here's the number 938-2777

I made the mistake of taking my dog to Beauties and Beasts Grooming, the new Pet Grooming Salon behind Smithfield's at 4042. I have never had a worse hack job on any of my 3 long haired dogs I have had groomed. It was NOT ANYTHING that I asked for. I made the mistake of using someone else b/c they were open on Saturday. I will NEVER make that mistake again- I will take time off work and use my regular groomer, Jean with Bark and Bath Mobile Grooming. She is wonderful and always does what I ask and what is best for my pets. I've learned my lesson.
Bark and Bath definitely comes highly recommended around here. Beauties and Beasts always does a good job on my two. Sorry to hear your experience was not so great.

I have used Doggie Dooz here in Clayton a few times recently and they have done a good job on my poodle and my cocker. They were really nice in there also. Cannot complain about them so far.
I've had good luck with the groomer located at Clayton Animal Hospital. (There is also a coupon on their website.) She's not real personable, but she seems good with the dogs.. That reminds me; I need to make an appt...
Bark and Bath! I save money on gas I save travel time I don't have to wipe nose-prints off my car windows I don't have to stop at the Golden Aches for vanilla cones (reward) I don't have to worry about my dogs getting into scuffles with other dogs I don't have to worry about my dogs being squished into a cage or kennel all day - and not getting a potty break (they would NEVER potty in a kennel) I don't have to worry about cleanliness (Jean's rig is immaculate!) I don't have to worry about someone getting heavy handed with my babies (Jean is super-caring) I don't have to worry if one of my older dogs gets stressed - he's right in the driveway and if he has a problem, I'm right here. If I can't take time off from work, Jean can come in and get them. I've done the hauling of my dogs to brick and mortar groomers before Jean came along. . .one in Raleigh, two in Clayton, one in Smithfield. . .the price is not that much different, but my peace of mind is. 247-7875
Grooming I take exception to this entry. I am Jana Hart. I own and operate Beauties and Beasts grooming. The first problem I have is that I have searched all of my records and have not had a customer come in on a Saturday with 3 dogs that did not rebook. It is fairly easy to trash someone's reputation in a public forum when you have an anonymous user name. The other problem I have is that if this is really a customer, they should know that I guarantee my work. If anyone is ever unhappy with my work, all they have to do is discuss it with me. I will do everything in my power to make it right. Miscommunications happen to everyone. I am as human as anyone else so I do make mistakes. However, I strive to make sure that every human and pet leaves my shop happy. I love my job and my customers. This is the first person who has ever (since I started in 1997) made such accusations and I take it very personally. I hope I have not offended anyone here and I wish everyone the best.
