Our daughter has been sick all weekend, and her fever went from low grade to high yesterday evening/overnight. I can't find anyone open (urgent care). Does anybody know of one open today???????

Our pediatric office, Raleigh Pediatrics, has morning appts. on weekends and holidays for sick children. I don't know if they take new patients during these hours, but it might be worth a try. If nothing else, they may be able to steer you somewhere. Their number is 872-0250. The same thing happened with my 3 year old. Her fever went to 104 last night, so we are going in this morning. Good luck and I hope you find someone.

Rex Urgent Care (not the hospital they just own 2 urgent cares too) in Cary at Lake Pine Drive and Cary Parkway is open.... They also can do xrays and so on if needed; and a true Radiologist is there to read it. Which is good because 99% of urgent cares do not have radiologist to read xrays.

There is not a Radiologist staffed at the REX UC on Holidays, weekends or after hours.. They will send the xrays via PACS to the hospital for it to be read.

True.... But I was saying there is a radiologist that actually reads it unlike a lot of urgent cares in the area. Sorry for the confusion. The radiologist are there on "normal" days until 5:00 pm (I thought 8:00 at first) LOL....

If it is that bad, take her immediately to the emergency room of any hospital.

We found an urgent care open...fourth call was the charm! Then, it took 3 pharmacies to find one open for the prescription.

We would have gone to the ER if necessary, but we prefer finding a place where we won't sit for 3-4 hours waiting. (Been there, done that once on a holiday weekend...YIKES!)

Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in soon...her fever hasn't started going down yet.
