Have an old monitor that had been going darker and darker and just picked up a new one.

Anybody know where to take the bad one? Does that Dump take them?

If you're in the Cleveland area, I've got a pile of "going to the dump" if you want to throw your monitor on.

Freecycle it! it's a yahoo group called freecycle. Go to yahoo.com, and search for the freecycle group in this area.

You would not believe what people offer up, and what people need/take.

One person's trash is another person's treasure (or something like that).

I'm tellin' ya, there's people on there all the time looking for old computer parts (working or not); books, clothing, etc. The premise is that before something goes to the junk yard or some donation place, see if someone else needs it first.

    Just my 2 cents.

The dump takes them, however that is not the environmentally responsible thing to do. You might check the manufacturers website, often times they provide guidance on how to properly dispose of these items.

That being said, I took my last one to the dump.
