Office of Educational Services in Raleigh. Anyone use them before for a school issue? I've used the DPI before but am new to the OES stuff. Our center has suggested this for our Deaf son for services. Please let me know if any of you have used them and protocol. I have the list but I need "real" protocol. I am encountering some resistance(not from the OES) and just making sure i's are dotted and t's are crossed--LOL. This is a free service offered by the state by the way for those who don't know. They come in evaluate your child in the school environment and make recommendations/ corrections on services he or she needs. The head of the Deaf/HOH part of this had recently retired and a new person is now involved so making sure everything is going the right way. If anyone has insight on how all this works, please let me know. The center we go to us is helping us immensely and has offered to sit in/ write whatever for upcoming IEP's. All his speech therapists we have privately have also offered to attend. Just want to get my son on track quickly as he can now hear. Thanks in advance for any insight, info or help.

    Take care,

 I thought you meant the Order of Eastern Star until I opened the thread.

Now I had to google it--LOL. I had never heard of them before. You learn something new everyday on here. 4042 is better than the library--LOL. Thanks for sharing as I honestly had never heard of the Order of the Eastern Star until now. Interesting. Too many acronyms in this world today.
