Cleveland Library just received $710,000 (the publisher's advertised value) for the truck load of new hard cover books (28 pallets on a 53' trailer) directly from the publisher, with another $710,000 load due in the near future. They are to be given away free to people in our Cleveland/Johnston area. If you don't have books at home to read, you are welcome to come by the library and pick up your free book selection. If you know anyone in the area, who doesn't have books at home, please invite them to stop by. We'll be set up in shopping centers and along the roads occasionally with our library car and table display and at Cleveland's Trunk or Treat. If you are able to help give books away in a neighborhood or if you belong to an organization who would assist, please come by or call. Our hours and location are on the Internet at http://4042needs.org/ or call 919-661-6565.

    FAQ:

About 28,000 books are off truck number 1 and we've given hundreds away. We ran out of fiction and are down to about 6 nonfiction titles. This project is to support adult readers.
