I have a friend who had the surgery and now has problems eating food that have a high (or even medium) fat content.

Just curious of it was the same cause.

My son, who just turned 6, can't have any dairy. I have found the lactose free cheese, milk and ice cream in the local stores, and he likes them just fine.

FYI, I've only been able to find the lactose free ice cream at Lowes in Clayton. It's made by Breyers.

I get the milk at food lion, but you can buy it most anywhere. And it's available ranging from fat free on up to whole 'milk' with added fat I guess, so maybe he could use the fat free lactose free milk?

The lactose free cheese slices are fine for most any sandwich, and they do well as grilled cheese sandwiches also.

    Hope that helps.
