a cheap class for kids for martial arts near Clayton for my 8 year old grandson? Tae Kwon Do (at the Walmart location) is about $100.00 a month and we can't afford that. He wants to go so bad. Grandma Peekaboo
I did some research on this a year ago so my info is OLD by now - but Gymnastics was a better deal for us at (about) $55.00. I could not find a better price than that for a once-a-week class. YES, I know Martial Arts is not the same a Gymnastics but they are both kid afterschool programs that cost $$$$$$$$$.
The Academy of Martial Arts has classes on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. I just called to confirm the times and prices. They meet in the aerobics room at Clayton Fitness- the guy rents space there. His number is 270-5146. I believe that the kids can take all 3 classes per week. Tuesdays and Thursdays- 7pm-8pm and Saturdays 10-11am. Cost: 1 month- $60 3 months- $150 6 months- $300 12 months- $600 There is also a $75 registration fee that includes the uniform and a belt. I see lots of kids go by in uniforms, but I've never watched a class or anything.
