I live in Smithfield/Wilson's Mills area off of Swift Creek Rd. so not sure if anyone on here would be missing these 2 animals. They are in our backyard. I'd hate for these horses to leave from our yard and have something happen to them. If you or if you know anyone that lives in this area may be missing their horse and pony please let them know. You can PM me for my number if you may know anything. the horse is full grown maybe male gray and white in color the pony is brown with white mane will try to get pictures up soon for better visual sorry, not able to get a picture I know this was a long shot for even posting this but I wanted to try.
Wonder if the sheriff can help with that one. I think if I lost a horse and a pony I would definitely call the law and let them know.

:lol: I saw the classified ad, I wonder if they are run aways from being sold? I hope the owners will realize they have a horse and pony missing soon. Sheriff or anyone else has not showed up. I don't think I can go to bed knowing they are out there and could possibly leave our yard and something happen to them. :|
I don't blame you for being worried. Not only for the animal's sake but also because they could cause a car accident which could injure humans as well. You would think that loose large animals would warrant some kind of action from the sheriff's office. :?
i totally understand, i would be so scared to go to sleep thinking something might happen to them or they wander into someone else's yard who doesn't have the caring heart you have. i hope all turns out well for them - i would play rescuer if i had a place for them to be.
We found a missing horse when I was a kid. He was walking done the road all alone (Barber Mill - plain 'ol Rt.1 way back then) Luckily, there were so few people living around there it didn't take but a day or so to figure out where he belonged.
We've called 2 times and still no show on the Sheriff showing up. I'm :? as well. Good thing is the horse and pony have not left our yard. I'm still up worried though, and probably will be until my eyes just shut down and I can't stay awake any longer.

Hate to say it but they might not be there for a while. Pretty sure alot are at tractor trailer wreck in benson. They are saying it won't be clear up til 8 tomorrow morning and detouring traffic thru benson. But I hope someone comes soon. I would be just like you and worried sick about them. And humans as well. If you don't find owners they can come live here too lol.
That makes sense. I did see the News on that accident a few moments ago. Hey, first person to my backyard with a horse trailer can take them home! :lol: Just joking!! I know one thing about the grown horse, it doesn't like strangers. My husband tried to get close to it but the horse ran off around the house. And it sticks with that pony i tell ya it does.
I know this is kinda off the subject but I thought it was kinda cute and wanted to tell about it. My uncle lives in SC and raises horse (at present he has about 45 i think) about 2 months ago he had a new colt well the other day he got to missing and he looked everywhere for him he had gotten out of the gate. He looked the whole day and part of the night for this colt. They had a like a deer challenge there the next morning while need less to say alot of guns going off. The ending to the story is my uncle woke up the next morning right after the shoting had started to find the little colt at the gate begging to be let back in. LOL and yes this is a true story LOL!!! And he still doesn't know where the little colt was all night LOL!!
Good morning! Woke up this morning and the horse and pony are gone. They went bye bye just as fast as they showed up here. :? I just hope the owners whoever they may be came and got them and that they are safe. Someone must have picked them up after 1 am. I was still up and watching them and they were still in our backyard when I went to bed a little after 1am. Sorry, I couldn't hold my eyes open much longer or else I'd have stayed up all night.
Don't beat yourself up, ya did what you could. Maybe animal control brought a trailer and took them, or the owner finally found them - :?:
Thank you. I'm not sure what happened to them but like you said maybe the owner found them and picked them up. I hope where ever they are that they are safe.
