Hi, My husband bought our dog some Kibbles n' Bits dog food because the Lowes he stopped at didn't have our dog's regular food at that time. It is the "Golden Years" variety for Senior dogs. As I expected, she refused to eat it, so late last night he had to go get her a bag of her regular food. I now have an almost full bag of the Kibbles n' Bits that we will not be using and wondered if anyone would like to have it? Please let me know, I hate to just throw it out when so many of you have dogs and/or rescue dogs...... Thanks, Barbara
Guys, no offense to anyone - but while shelters will say thank you if you drop them off dog food, IF it has been opened, they have to toss it out. There are unfortunately a lot of sick people out there who taint pet foods and deliver it to shelters and such places. They can't take chances and must toss it. Also - most shelters try to keep their dogs down to one or two kinds of food - to prevent intestinal problems. They won't say anything to offend you, but unless you can give it to a neighbor - toss it in the trash can and save your gas.
Thanks, Zoo. I didn't think about that because I am not a crazy person who would taint pet food. I forget there are psychos out there. I've actually got someone from the forum that is coming by to get the Kibbles. Thanks for the replies. Barbara
We have had bags with glass in it as well as other things... Some people ask us to save it for them anyway (other rescue groups who are desperate) or someone comes and takes it to feed deer?? So we try not to let it go to waste.
