TTA has a couple of vanpools that travel from Clayton to RTP. Is anyone taking one of these?

Just wondering if there was any spots open. If not, I'm thinking about volunteering to drive (its free for the driver!) Otherwise to ride, its about $75 a month. When I think about how much gas I'm using (air pollution, etc), I think it might be worth it to let someone else drive for a change. :)

what do you do if you have a sick child that needs to be picked up from school or you have an emergency. Stuck without a vehicle. I know we should do it but I have a hard time not having my own ride when I need it.:)

Yep, me too! Plus I'm one of those folks that likes to do my own thing. I like being able to get to work by 7-7:30, working through my lunch and rolling out of here by 3:00-3:30, if I so choose to. Plus, if I want to run to the store and pick up some stuff during the day, go to the bank or meet friends for lunch I couldn't. Driving is my "down time" so to speak. I get ready for the day and then unwind on my drive home. I'd be freaked out if I didn't leave until 5:00 that I wouldn't make it to Clayton by 6:00 to pick up my kiddo from after school care.

They offer an "emergency ride" if you need it, no charge. :)

I've been debating too whether or not to do this service. I have places near my work that I can easily walk to if I need anything but I am going to miss my noon time trips to the mall. (Probably better if I dont go anyway, lol)

I told myself, that if I do decide to go this route, I would be saving quite a bit of money every month. I could put that money to a REALLY NICE vacation for next year, since I didnt do anything this year. :D

    Sacrifce, sacrifice.. ;)
