I agree Carl! That is a lovley thing to say. My kids and I tell each other, "I love you", before we part ways every day. I must have done something right with them because they even tell each other.
I saw that on the news last night. There was a statement to the fact that she was able to hold on until she was sure he was safe. Sad though. They kept he alive until he could say goodbye.
