My daughter bought Apple TV and everything we try to do on major networks asks for an activation code through our provider. What is the purpose of having this if we still have to use stupid Time Warner? Anyone know how to get around this? We wanted to watch the last episode of How To Get Away With Murder, but cannot.

    Thanks,
    Sherry

Any major network or cable channel will require you to have an existing cable/sat contract to watch it through apple TV, roku, on your computer, etc.

Short of using someone else's login credentials the only options I know of are to can get an HD antenna for your TV and watch the major networks over the air as they are broadcast or pay $8 month for something like Hulu Plus.

Just wait a few days and you'll be able to watch it right at abc.com.
