Archer Lodge Family Fun Day 5K

Archer Lodge is have a family fun day starting with 5K race/walk at 8 am, parade at 11, events all day and fireworks that evening. Complete info link below:

Wait, I'm confused ... 5k race? They're starting a "fun day" with a 5k race? As in .. run? For fun? There's some insane people in Archer Lodge!!
