Are there any new Grocerie Stores coming to the Area?

I'm just looking for something other than Food Lion,there's nothing wrong with Foodlion but a little more variety would not hurt either! Even Lowe's Food isn't what it used to be anymore. I was really hoping we might get a Harris Teeter, I would absolutely love a Fresh Market or a Trader Joe's but I guess that would be too much to hope for!
At one point there was talk about a grocery store coming to the corner of Cornwallis Rd. and 42 but I heard the developer changed his mind.
I even called Harris Teeters Corp. Office last year and asked if there were any plans for building one in this area but at the time they said that there were none. At the same time Cary and Raleigh have I don't know how many of them:x

They are planning on building that one at cornwallis and 42... but it'll be after they finish the water park. :jester::jester:

Yeah I heard about that one too! I guess that's the water park they accidentally build in Rocky Mount instead of here...

 

According to this week's News-Star (Clayton), someone has applied for the correct zoning to put a grocery store at the location of the former Red & White, on the corner of O'Neil and Front Street....probably not what the OP had in mind when posting this thread, but a new store, none the less!!!

 

I remember the old Red&White Store owned by Mr. Dailey I believe,used to be a good place for meats. We used to live on Whitaker St. off O'Neil St.

I thought I had heard there was going to be a Harris Teeter on the corner of 42 and Cornwallis when they finally build that shopping center. The corner where the lanscape business use to be.

Sorry can't help you there-any particular reason that makes you think that I could be Warren's sister?

 

A Bloom grocery store will be built in Riverwood on Pritchard Raod across from the Elementary and Middle Schools. Site plan has been approved by Town of Clayton Town Council. I have never been in a Bloom grocery store. Anyone know anything about Bloom?

Going by their website the closest Bloom Stores are probably in VA at the moment. At the very bottom of the Bloom's site it also say's Foodlion...

 

unless like I Warren was born and raised in Germany...

 

I would love a Trader Joe's to open around here or at least in Garner. It takes me 40 minutes to get to the one in Cary! I love that store!

 

Very High End Grocery Store owned by Food Lion, From the people I have talked to they really liked it (better than any they had been in before) and the prices were good.

 

I heard it about two years ago. Sorry nothing since.

 

Same here! I wish there was one closer!!

 

I have heard of them, Where are they? Some one at the dog park recommended I get the fish oil I use for Laila from Trader Joe's.

Hopefully we can get one of those and a Whole foods out our way some day.
