When your vet sends you to the pharmacy for a prescription, you can get 10-40% off the prescription cost using the [free] prescription discount card distributed by 62 counties in North Carolina. When you travel with your pet or relocate, it is valid and accepted by 9 out of every 10 pharmacies in the United States. It is good for all human prescriptions at the pharmacies. Carroll's in Smithfield announced at a meeting that it will be the 1 in 10 that will not be honoring the card. Basic Needs Ministry is authorized to provide this discount card and has helped its neighbors save $1.5 million on their prescriptions during the past year. Since we know friends who were paying $1,800 a year [before using the card] for their pet meds, I hope this helps you. - Ron - I regularly check my e-mail address at Ron@4042needs.org - the Internet site is http://4042needs.org/ and our prescription information is at: http://4042needs.org/programs/prescriptions/index.html
