Anyone know of a company or person who could appraise some Asian art for me? We have a Japanese general statue that stands about 13 inches high, has etchings on the back, and when we showed it to an appraiser they stated that they don't know anything about Asian art but offered $2,000.00 on the spot, which was about 10 years ago. We also have a china bowl that has on the underside bottom, a number and some oriental writing. I was told by my family that it was brought out of occupied China years and years ago. We have other items that are Asian and English but I am concentrating on the two above. I need to make sure my insurance policy is correct. Thanks in advance.
